Dowsing - Twitching Muscles?

[Just in case you didn't know ... there is evidence that a dowser's muscles twitch when something is dowsed].
Everything has energy impinging upon it, going through it and going out of it. The types of energy, and energy movements, depend upon an objects make-up, and its own internal vibrations.
The energies we easily sense are light, heat and sound.
But energy we cannot see, or normally sense, will also be going in, on and out of objects.
Some of these energies will be those which we use for radar, radio, television, x-rays or cooking. And it is almost certain that the "pattern" these energies make will be unique for each object.
So do we pick up this energy pattern when we dowse and is, Ki or Chi something to do with this pattern? Maybe the Ki can be thought of as a sort of building-block which is the foundation of all the other energies. If so, then our right brain senses the Ki and communicates to our (analytical) left brain using arm muscle twitches, followed by consequential "L" rod or pendulum movement, and causing us to exclaim "I've found it!"
If Ki, or Chi, is somehow behind the existence of all those other energies, and if it holds unique patterns for each and every object, or condition, then perhaps we are getting closer to a theory of how dowsing and reiki "work".
None of this explains how our wonderful minds are able to receive a stimulus to cause a twitch. Many questions remain. Is the right half of our brain always aware of Ki energy, but normally unable to send it to the right-side into "consciousness"? Is Ki somehow connected with those other "building-blocks" - the quanta of quantum mechanics? Are these patterns linked to the shape of Reiki Symbols or patterns used in Radionics?
Fortunately, we don't have to have answers! We can just be happy using these gifts. But if you are inquisitive I'm sure you'd like to have some sort of answer - Perhaps this short article has set you on the exploration trail.
